Now That You are Saved PT 1

 WORD FOCUS: NOW THAT YOU ARE SAVED


TEXT: 1st Cor 5:17 “If any man be in Christ,He is a new creature: old things have passed away, behold all things are new”.


It is very important to know nd have a full understanding of what it means to be saved- the word salvation from which to saved is drawn from is gotten from the the greek word Sozu- it means to be rescued from, to be salvage from impending danger i.e there is danger ahead but one was rescued from it.

In other words it means man(you and I) was heading toward an impending danger but we were saved from that danger. The beautiful thing about what Jesus did is, he didn’t just saved us from the Danger ahead, he took our place and died our death. The death meant for me was place in Jesus so I don’t have to die again. "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God eternal life", "but as many that believe in him should not perish[die] but have everlasting life". Can you see this you don’t have to die again, hallelujah….. Jesus has died your death. So now that I have been saved what does it mean?


 We will be taking out time to understand what being saved means to us. So that it will have a better impact on our relationship with God, our lives and everything that concerns us.


1. I am the righteousness of God in christ Jesus "And he made him who knew no sin to be made sin,so that through him will be made the righteousness of God in christ Jesus". 1 cor 5 vs 20. Jesus took your place of sin and death and gave you his righteousness and life. This is who you are right now, not tomorrow but right now. Glory to God.


2. I am a child of God- ‘’behold what manner of love the father that bestowed upon us, that we should be called Sons of God' 1st John 3:1.


What a beautiful thing it is, that you and I have the right to call ourselves children of God. Now see, everyone is God's creature but not everyone is God's Child. Being a child of is as simple as ABC- 

Accept Him

 Believe Him 

 Confess Him


But it's one of the most powerful thing to happen to anybody - John 1:12 " But as many as  received Him, to them gave Him power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name".


3.Your Sins has been washed away by His Blood Colossians 1:14" In whom we have redemption through His Blood, even the forgiveness of sins". Knowing that your Sins are washed away and forgiven is very important in your new birth experience. That feeling of guilt and condemnation is not of God, Stand confident knowing that your Sins have been forgiven forever 


4. You are Loved of God- Jeremiah 31:3" The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, yea, I have Loved thee with an everlasting Love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee".

How long is God's love for me? Everlasting - Meaning it is forever. Your knowledge of God's love for you is key to your victorious life as a believer. Read Ephesians 3:14-19

Faith Confession for Today I have the mind of Christ The wisdom Of God is made available for me today. I walk in wisdom in all my dealings Christ is made onto me the wisdom Of God.
